The Truth versus the Lie

(updated and revised 2/13/13)

There is much controversy over determining an accurate chronology of the Death, Burial, and Resurrection (DeBuR) of Yeshua the Messiah, due to the great numbers of details involved in the comprehensive view of this matter.

None should choose a side of an argument such as ‘Wednesday crucifixion/ Sunday resurrection’ and then set about to prove there point. That is a predetermined bias and all who are guilty of such disqualify their own attempts to put forth an objective account.

Those with a bias decide for themselves beforehand, then set about to collect clues to support their position on any given topic. Frequently they read others’ writings on the subject and present their gathered ‘facts’ as their apologetic evidence. The attitude in them is that the person with the highest number of facts that support their position wins the argument.

Pride is exhibited by those who have yet to die to personal ambitions; those who seek to promote themselves for the purpose of gain, either in fame or finances.

The two most critical passages that discuss the Truth versus the lie are:

Romans 1:24 Wherefore Elohim also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves; 25 whoso exchanged the Truth of Elohim into a lie; and who kept Sabbath to, and served their creature, more than the Creator, who is blessed l’olam. Awmein. 26 For this cause Elohim gave them over to vile affections: for even their women did exchange the natural use into that which is contrary to nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is perverted, and received in themselves that recompense of their error that was due them. 28 And even as they did not like to retain Elohim in their knowledge, Elohim gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things that are not befitting;

2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is according to the working of haSatan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness (adikian) in those who perish because they do not receive the love of the Truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause Elohim shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 that they all might be damned who believed not the Truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness (adikian).

The scriptures give us eye-witness testimonies by those who were there; those who observed the events as recorded. All honest testimony agrees in ONE Truth being established: the accurate record of events that would stand up in a court of law. There is no division in Truth, all truth agrees with itself. All details must be accounted for, and agree in the Truth. When details are overlooked or excluded, a point of view that is not Truth is being fabricated.

Testimony is established by agreement of true witnesses; and when false witnesses agree, and their testimony is received, judgment and justice is compromised. This is the reason why thorough cross-examination, no matter what discomforts the ‘witnesses’ might feel, is required to establish the Truth. The eye-witness testimony contained especially in the Gospels of the Renewed Covenant Scriptures, attests to ONE story without contradiction concerning the timing of the DeBuR (death, burial and resurrection) of Messiah.

Any chronology that transgresses the Truth of the Word must be disregarded, not admitted as evidence, and thrown out of discussion of the topic. False witnesses will search at great length to make themselves appear credible, but when their testimony contradicts the Truth, they are exposed as false. Abiding in Truth is abiding in him who is Truth.

No lie is of the Truth. We who love truth have an anointing from the Holy One,        to know, that is, to become One with the Truth, concerning all things.

John 14:6 Yeshua said to him, “I Am is the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes to the Father, but by I Am.”

1 John 2:21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the Truth, but because ye know it; and that no lie is of the Truth.

1 John 2:27 But the anointing that ye have received of him abides in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is Truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, ye shall abide in him.

John 8:44 “Ye are of your father, the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the Truth, because there is noTruth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

1Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy; their conscience have they seared with a hot iron.

Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles, neither whatsoever works abomination or a lie: but those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Revelation 22:15 For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.
